Gear Lock City started as a small business in PRETORIA 12 years ago. Johan Jordaan decided he was going to provide South Africa with the BEST in vehicle security there was available at that time. He wanted to be the biggest and the BEST fitment centre in the country. He started installing gear locks with a small mobile team of technicians and a sales lady. With these mobile units he and his team served the whole of Gauteng with diligence. He now steers the business, which has grown from those meager beginnings into a “PROUDLY SOUTH AFRICAN”-enterprise!!

During the period of 12 years, GEAR LOCK CITY has twice been the proud winners of the prestigious VEHICLE SECURITY ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH AFRICA’s (VESA) “BEST FITMENT CENTRE”-award!

Our involvement in maintaining and ensuring high security standards, is reflected in Johan Jordaan’s - owner of GEAR LOCK CITY’s voluntary involvement in VESA (art 21 – non-profit organization) during the past year. We have always had the motto that it is not what our customers can do for us, but what we as a team can do for them!
