OVERVIEW:

The Mio DigiWalker C510 has a black and grey chassis and comes preloaded with South African maps and 512 MB of memory. Turn-by-turn voice and text navigation with various language options including English, Afrikaans, Zulu and Xhosa along with an easy to use touch screen enables users to effortlessly access maps and music files. The Mio DigiWalker C510 includes a fully integrated SiRFstarIII™ 20 channel GPS antenna, rechargeable lithium ion battery that allows up to 5 hours of unuttered operation on a single charge, 64 MB SDRAM, touch screen keyboard, built-in 1" loudspeaker, headphone jack, and mounting hardware for automobiles. Weighing just 170 grams, the device has a compact size - allowing it to fit into the user's pocket. Included accessories are earphones for the MP3 player, car mounting kit, universal AC and car adapters with changeable plugs and USB cable.
Use the C510 for hands-free calling when combined with a BluetoothTM enabled mobile phone. Together with a Bluetooth™ mobile phone*, the C510 allows you to keep your hands safely on the wheel whenever you're on the phone. It automatically switches from navigation to phone mode every time you receive a call.

Whether on foot, in a car or on a bicycle, getting around in unfamiliar areas or finding alternative routes due to changing circumstances or conditions couldn't be easier. The user simply selects the town, road and address, and the Mio DigiWalker C510 does the rest. It can also be used to plan longer trips with multiple stops in advance. Maps are displayed in landscape view on the 3.5" TFT touch screen LCD and in 2D or 3D. In the 3D view, users have a better grasp of what lies ahead, including landmarks, road conditions and POIs compared to a 2-dimensional map. If the user misses a turn, exit or cannot make a transition in time, the device automatically recalculates the route and delivers new directions in real-time.

Safety camera (speed camera) warnings For your safety, the C510 also tells you the likely locations of fixed safety cameras (speed cameras) and the likely locations of mobile traps, with free updates twice a year from the time you register. You receive both a visual and audio signal to warn you.

POI-search by name. Just simply start typing the name of your restaurant, hotel and shop. And immediately see all possibilities. Even if you don't know the exact location. Or you can just look for a POI in the easy to use categories.

Get going quickly with SiRFstar III and new fast processor
The latest SiRFstarIII GPS receiver picks up satellite signals faster and holds them better, and the 400Mhz processor helps you calculate your route more quickly - which means you can get on the road quicker. The highly sensitive SiRFstarIII GPS chipset can receive signals from up to 20 satellites for extremely accurate positioning, even in the centre of a city or the middle of the countryside. The C510 makes sure you'll find your way.

Simple, intuitive navigation
A crystal clear 3.5" touch screen and a range of user-friendly features make the C510 simple to use as well as easy to follow. The C510 is designed to be as user-friendly as possible. Large buttons and clever keyboard make it easy to enter a destination. Frequently used addresses can be stored in your own POI categories so you don't have to type them in every time, whilst you can also designate a shortcut button for example your home and work address. Just push the button and find the way home. As for the display, all the journey information you need is easy to see. Estimated time of arrival, distance battery and satellite status can all be viewed. You can also keep an eye on the speed you're traveling at and, just in case you need reminding, speed limits are also shown when available.

Make calls and navigate directly to Outlook contacts
The C510 not only synchronizes with Outlook TM Contacts on your desktop computer, it takes you straight to them. With the C510, you never have to leave the office without your Outlook™Contacts. But what makes life really easy is the ability to call or navigate directly to a contact. Just select the name and you'll be able to call them or navigate directly to their home or office. If you have their full address, including the official name of the street saved in Outlook, of course.

Choose the way you want to travel
You can use the C510 outside the car as well as inside it. Thanks to the pedestrian mode, you can use the C510 to explore Cities on foot. It navigates as smoothly in the historical downtown of Cape Town as on the highway traversing Gauteng. The C510 takes account of the way you want to travel on the road as well. Choose the type of vehicle you're using, the type of route you prefer. Whether you want to avoid Highways, go by the quickest way possible or take the shortest route, the C510 shows you which way to go.

Lots of extras
If you're not using your C510 for navigating, you can use it to listen to your favorite music or to have a look through your latest photos. The C510 is a navigation device, but it also offers a lot more than that. The SD/MMC memory card slot expansion slot means you can play all your stored music and look at your favorite snaps - or show them to other people.
